Spanair Terminates Codeshare Agreement with SAS; US Airways partnership RevisedSAS and Spanair starting 01DEC11 will terminate their bilateral codeshare agreement, which reservation for travel starting on and after 01DEC11 has been closed since Monday (01AUG11).
Financial situation at Spanair has been in “emergency situation” since January 2011, and has partially contributed to SAS’s financial loss via codesharing despite Spanair is no longer part of the SAS Group.
On separate note, Spanair and US Airways’ Codeshare agreement has converted to unilateral, which Spanair’s “JK” code no longer displayed on US Airways’ operating flight.
